Packet Pick-up Information for the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival
Marathon, Half Marathon & 50K Ultra Marathon
Due to the increase security, every Marathon, Half Marathon & 50K Ultra marathon runner must show ID and pick up their own packet at the Health & Fitness Expo.
2-Person & 5-Person Relays
There is only one packet per relay team. The person picking up the team’s packet must be the team captain or a team member. Only the person picking up the team packet will be required to show ID and the confirmation email (written permission from other team members is not required).
Packet Pick-up Checklist
Here is a checklist of important activities that need your attention at Packet Pick-Up:
- Make sure you make all stops to pick up all packet items: race bib, chip, participant shirt and final instructions
- Don’t forget safety pins
- Check your race bib for accuracy
- Fill out the emergency contact information on the back of your bib
- See the info desk to resolve any questions or issues. Don’t wait until race day to ask for help!
Race Bib Accuracy
When you pick up your packet at the Health & Fitness Expo during the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival weekend, check the information on your perforated finish tag to ensure that it is correct and matches your running number. If there is a problem, report it immediately. The perforated tag is used to verify your information in our records. Take the time to fill out the Emergency Information on the back of your race bib.
How to Wear Your Bib
Wear your race bib on the FRONT of your shirt or shorts so that race officials and finish line personnel can see it. Do not cut or fold your number in any way or place a safety pin in the perforated tag. Officials must be able to see your whole number to know that you are an officially registered runner.
Important Timing Tag Instructions
- ChronoTrack B-Tag timing tags will be attached to the back of your bib for timing
- Do NOT remove the timing tags from the back of your bib
- You MUST wear your bib on the most outer layer of clothing. Do not cover your bib
- Your bib must be clearly visible and worn on the front side of your body
- Do NOT fold your bib

This December, UCAN will provide it’s innovative SuperStarch-based energy product in a portable pouch on course at mile 8 and 16.5. The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival is excited to partner with UCAN to offer Edge to our Marathon, Half marathon and 50K Ultra-marathon participants to help fuel them on race day.
What the pros are saying:
“UCAN Edge is a great, portable way to quickly get some slow-burning carbohydrate fuel in during training and races,” says Sara Hall, the 2nd fastest U.S. women’s marathoner in history. “Edge sits really well in my stomach. I don’t even notice it’s there besides the extra energy.”

There will be more than 20 water stops along the BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and 50K Ultra Marathon course. All stations will provide water and Gatorade Endurance Formula to runners.
We see you out there putting in the training to get ready for the BMW Dallas Marathon. G Endurance products are created specifically to help tough athletes like you replace the fluids and electrolytes lost when training and racing over prolonged periods. These products are backed by over 50 years of nutrition and hydration research at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI). They deliver a 2:1 glucose:fructose blend that helps the body maximize carbohydrate absorption while minimizing GI distress. That means that with each serving, you’ll get the fluids and nutrients you need to dig deeper and work harder. G Endurance Formula will be available on-course at every aid station, delivering the fuel to unlock your best, start to finish.
Runners, cool the pain with Biofreeze. Biofreeze provides fast acting, long lasting, powerful pain relief for stiff joints and sore muscles so you can feel the cool and forget the pain.
- Don’t miss the Biofreeze Pain Relief Zone located around mile 9 of the half and mile 22 of the full where the Cooling Crew will help you cool the pain to get you across the finish line.
- After pushing your body to new limits during the Marathon, Half Marathon and 50K Ultra Marathon events, don’t forget to recover properly. Visit the Biofreeze Recovery Zone at the Post-Race Party to get you back on track!
